How can we help?

Need help with Moodoodle? You’re in the right place.

Getting started

What devices does Moodoodle support?

iPhone and iPad, and Android phones and tablets.

How do I start coloring?

Tap Color Pictures on the Home screen, pick a picture, and start coloring. Your picture saves as you go.

How does Create with Moo work?

Tap Create with Moo, then type or say an idea. Moo draws a new black-and-white coloring page from it, at your artist's coloring level. It appears in My Art, ready to color.

Coloring

How do I save my picture?

You don't need to — Moodoodle saves while your child colors, and again when they leave the page. Tap the yellow check when the picture is finished.

Can I continue a picture later?

Yes. Open it from My Art and it picks up exactly where it was left.

Where are my pictures?

In My Art, from the Home screen. Pictures Moo made also appear under Made with Moo in Color Pictures.

Can I delete a picture?

Yes. In My Art, tap •••, then Throw pictures away. A quick grown-up check comes first, so little hands can't delete art by accident. Deleted pictures can't be recovered.

Create with Moo

What can I ask Moo to draw?

Almost anything a kid can imagine — animals, vehicles, silly mash-ups, their pet as a superhero. Moo keeps things kid-friendly, so some ideas get a gentle "let's try something else."

Why couldn't Moo create my picture?

Sometimes an idea isn't right for a kids' coloring page, the drawing service is busy, or the device is offline. Moo will say so and suggest trying again or a different idea.

Does a failed creation count?

No. Only pictures that actually arrive count toward your creations.

How many pictures can I create?

Free: 1 to try. Library: 1 each calendar month. Moo Studio: up to 3 each calendar day.

Free Moodoodle

What is included for free?

16 coloring pictures, saving your artwork, and 1 Moo creation to try.

How does my free Moo creation work?

Each device gets 1 free Moo creation. Once it's used, more creations come with the Library (1 a month) or Moo Studio (up to 3 a day).

Library

What does the Moodoodle Library include?

Every picture in the Library, pictures we add in the future, and 1 Moo creation each calendar month.

Is the Library a subscription?

No. It's a one time purchase of $8.99.

Do I get future pictures?

Yes. New Library pictures are included with your purchase.

Moo Studio

What is Moo Studio?

A subscription ($4.99/month or $49.99/year) for up to 3 new Moo pictures every day. It doesn't include the Library pictures — that's a separate one-time purchase.

How many pictures can I create?

Up to 3 each calendar day. Failed creations don't count.

What happens if I cancel?

Moo Studio keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. After that, creating new pictures goes back to what your other purchases include.

Do I keep pictures I've already made?

Yes. Everything already in My Art stays there.

Purchases

How do I restore purchases?

Open Settings (the gear on Home), go to the grown-ups area and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple ID or Google account you bought with.

How do I manage my subscription?

In the grown-ups area, tap Manage subscription, or go to your Apple ID subscriptions (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

Why is my purchase not showing?

Try Restore purchases in the grown-ups area, and check you're signed in to the same store account you bought with. Purchases can take a moment to appear after buying. Still stuck? Contact us.

Technical

Does Moodoodle work offline?

Yes, for coloring, the Library and My Art. Create with Moo needs the internet.

Why isn't my picture loading?

Close and reopen Moodoodle, and make sure the device has some free storage. If one picture still won't open, tell us — please don't send a screenshot that includes your child's name or photo.

Why can't Moodoodle create a picture right now?

Create with Moo needs an internet connection, and Moo has a daily limit to keep things fair. If you're online and have creations left, the service may be busy — try again in a little while.

Audio

How do I turn music or sounds off?

Open Settings (the gear on Home) and switch Music or Sound Effects off.

Safety

Why was an idea rejected?

Moodoodle is for young kids, so ideas are checked before Moo draws them. If an idea isn't right for a kids' coloring page, Moo suggests something else instead. It never uses up a creation.

How does Moodoodle keep Create with Moo kid-friendly?

Several layers, before anything is drawn:

  • On the device, every idea is checked against a list of words and topics that don't belong in a kids' coloring book, with a list of innocent phrases so a "cow that kicks a ball" isn't caught by mistake. Famous characters are swapped for friendly look-alikes, and anything that looks like an email address, a link or a long number is removed.
  • On our service, the idea is checked again before it goes to the drawing provider.
  • The drawing provider runs its own image moderation, and Moo only draws in Moodoodle's style: black-and-white line art for kids.

A rejected idea gets a gentle "let's try something else" and never uses up a creation. These safeguards are designed for a young audience, but no automated system is perfect. If you ever see something that shouldn't be there, please tell us.

Can my child talk to anyone, or see other people’s pictures?

No. Moodoodle has no chat, no feed, no comments and no sharing between users. Pictures are only ever on your device, and they leave it only if a grown-up shares, prints or saves them.

Does Moodoodle collect my child’s data?

Very little, and none of it identifies your child. There's no account, no name, no email and no analytics. Artwork stays on the device. When Create with Moo is used, the idea and a random install code are sent to our drawing service to make the picture and keep a fair daily limit; we don't store or log the idea. The full details are in our Privacy Policy and Children's privacy guide.
